Dear Lord, I come before you today claiming the promise that you have given us in Proverbs 14:20. I pray that you will bless me with the riches that come from your hand, so that I may have many friends and be a blessing to others. I also pray that you will help me to be a good neighbor to those who are poor and in need, so that they may not be shunned or forgotten. Thank you for your promise that the rich person has many friends, and I trust in your provision and guidance as I seek to live a life that honors you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Verse: The poor person is shunned even by his own neighbor, but the rich person has many friends.
Proverbs 14:20
This is a Promise. The verse is stating that the rich person has many friends while the poor person is shunned, but it is not giving a command to the reader.
