Dear God, please help me to be a merciful person who does good to my own soul. May I always show kindness and compassion to others, and may my actions bring joy and peace to those around me. Please protect me from the temptation to be cruel or unkind, as I know that this will only bring trouble to my own flesh. Help me to be a reflection of your love and mercy in this world. Amen.

Verse: The merciful man does good to his own soul, but he who is cruel troubles his own flesh.
Proverbs 11:17
