Praying from Matthew 7:2 relating to Judgment, Consequences, Mercy
Dear God, please help me to remember that the way I judge others will be the way I am judged. May I always show mercy and kindness to those around me, and may I never be quick to judge or condemn. Help me to measure out love and compassion in all my interactions, knowing that the same measure will be given back to me. Thank you for your grace and forgiveness, and for teaching me to love others as you love me. Amen.
Verse: For with whatever judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you.
Matthew 7:2
This is a Command. The verse is commanding the reader to be mindful of how they judge others, as they will be judged in the same way. It also commands the reader to be careful in how they measure things, as they will be measured in the same way. Essentially, the verse is telling the reader to treat others as they would like to be treated.
