Dear Lord, help us to be wise like those who answered in the scripture. May we trust in your provision, but also be proactive in seeking out what we need. Give us the courage to go to those who sell and buy for ourselves, knowing that you will guide us and provide for us. Help us to be good stewards of the resources you have given us, and to always be mindful of those who may be in need. Amen.

Verse: But the wise answered, saying, ‘ What if there isn’t enough for us and you? You go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’
Matthew 25:9

This is a Command. The wise are telling the foolish to go buy their own oil.
