Prayer based on Matthew 25:43. Themes: Compassion, Service, Justice.
Dear God, please help me to always remember the importance of showing kindness and compassion to those who are in need. May I never turn away a stranger, but instead welcome them with open arms. Help me to provide clothing and shelter to those who are without, and to visit those who are sick or imprisoned. May I always strive to be a reflection of your love and grace in this world. Amen.
Verse: I was a stranger, and you didn’t take me in; naked, and you didn’t clothe me; sick, and in prison, and you didn’t visit me.’
Matthew 25:43
This is a Command. The verse is a call to action for the reader to show compassion and care for those in need, specifically strangers, the naked, and the sick and imprisoned.
