Dear Lord, please help me to never become like the evil servant who says in his heart that you are delaying your coming. May I always be watchful and ready for your return, eagerly anticipating the day when you will come again. Help me to live each day with the knowledge that your return could be at any moment, and to use my time wisely to serve you and others. Thank you for your love and grace, and for the promise of your return. Amen.

Verse: But if that evil servant should say in his heart, ‘ My lord is delaying his coming,’
Matthew 24:48

This is a Command. The verse is warning against the attitude of the evil servant who thinks that his master is delaying his coming and therefore becomes careless and wicked. The command is to not have this attitude and to always be prepared for the return of the Lord.
