Dear God, as I navigate through this world, I am constantly faced with decisions about where to place my loyalty and my resources. Help me to remember the words of Jesus when he said to give to Caesar what is Caesar’s and to give to you what is yours. May I always be mindful of my obligations to both the earthly authorities and to you, my heavenly Father. Guide me in making wise choices about how to use my time, talents, and treasures for your glory and for the good of others. Amen.
Verse: They said to him, “Caesar’s.” Then he said to them,“Give therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”

This is a Command. The verse commands the reader to give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar and to God what belongs to God.
