Prayer based on Matthew 20:34. Themes: Compassion, Healing, Faith

Dear Lord Jesus,

As I come before you today, I am reminded of the verse that says, “Jesus, being moved with compassion, touched their eyes; and immediately their eyes received their sight, and they followed him.” I claim this promise today, Lord, and ask that you touch my eyes and give me spiritual sight.

Open my eyes to see your love and grace in my life. Help me to see the needs of those around me and to be moved with compassion, just as you were. Give me the courage to follow you wherever you lead me, and to trust in your guidance and provision.

Thank you for your unfailing love and mercy, Lord. I know that with you, all things are possible. I trust in your promise to give me sight, and I pray that I may always follow you with a heart full of gratitude and joy.

In Jesus’ name, I pray,

Amen.

This is a Promise. The verse describes how Jesus healed the blind men who followed him, but does not contain a command for the reader to follow.
