Praying from Matthew 19:30. Themes: Humility, Reversal of Fortune, Judgment

Dear Lord, I come before you today claiming the promise that many will be last who are first, and first who are last. I pray that you help me to humble myself before you and others, and to put others before myself. May I not seek to be first in everything, but rather to serve and love those around me with a selfless heart. I trust in your promise that those who are last will be first, and I pray that you will exalt me in due time according to your will. Thank you for your grace and mercy, and for the promise of eternal life with you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse: But many will be last who are first, and first who are last.
Matthew 19:30

This is a Promise. The verse suggests that those who are considered first in this world may end up being last in the eyes of God, and vice versa. It is a reminder that earthly status and success do not necessarily equate to spiritual success or reward.
