Dear Lord, I pray that I may not be like the seed sown among the thorns. Help me to hear your word and to hold it close to my heart. Protect me from the cares of this age and the deceitfulness of riches that can choke your word and make me unfruitful. May I bear fruit for your kingdom and bring glory to your name. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
