Praying from Matthew 13:19. Themes: Salvation, Understanding, Spiritual Warfare.
Dear Lord, I pray that when I hear the word of your Kingdom, I may have the understanding to receive it and let it take root in my heart. Protect me from the evil one who seeks to snatch away the seeds of truth that you have sown in me. Help me to be receptive to your teachings and to apply them in my life. May I not be like the seeds sown by the roadside, but rather may I be like the seeds that fall on good soil and produce a bountiful harvest. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Verse: When anyone hears the word of the Kingdom and doesn’t understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away that which has been sown in his heart. This is what was sown by the roadside.
Matthew 13:19
This is a Command. The verse is telling the reader to make sure they understand the word of the Kingdom, otherwise the evil one will come and take it away.
