Dear Lord, help me to be obedient to your commands and to keep your teachings close to my heart. May I not be tempted to share them with those who are not ready to receive them, but instead, may I wait for the right time to share your message. And if I am ever tempted to share your message too soon, may I remember the disciples who were commanded to keep quiet, but could not contain their excitement and shared your message with the world. May I be like them, spreading your love and truth to all who will listen. Amen.

Verse: He commanded them that they should tell no one, but the more he commanded them, so much the more widely they proclaimed it.

This is a Command. The verse commands the disciples not to tell anyone about Jesus, but they disobey and spread the news even more.
