Dear Lord, help me to always be watchful and alert, for I do not know when you will come. Whether it be in the evening, at midnight, when the rooster crows, or in the morning, may I be ready to receive you. Give me the strength and wisdom to live each day in a way that pleases you, so that when you do come, I will be found faithful. Amen.

Verse: Watch therefore, for you don’t know when the lord of the house is coming— whether at evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or in the morning;
