Dear Lord, help us to be prepared for your coming and to not be distracted by the things of this world. May we have the strength to resist the temptation to cling to our possessions and instead focus on our eternal home with you. Grant us the wisdom to prioritize our time and resources in a way that honors you and your kingdom. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Verse: and let him who is on the housetop not go down, nor enter in, to take anything out of his house.
Mark 13:15
