Prayer based on Mark 10:42. Themes: Power, Humility, Servanthood.

Dear Lord Jesus, we come before you today humbly and with open hearts. We recognize that those who are recognized as rulers over the nations often lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them. We pray that you would help us to be different. Help us to lead with humility and grace, and to serve those around us with love and compassion. May we never use our positions of power to oppress or harm others, but always seek to lift them up and help them thrive. We ask for your guidance and wisdom as we navigate the challenges of leadership, and we pray that you would use us to make a positive difference in the world. In your holy name we pray, Amen.

Verse: Jesus summoned them and said to them,“You know that they who are recognized as rulers over the nations lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them.
Mark 10:42

This is a Command. The brief summary of the command is to not lord over others or exercise authority over them like the rulers of the nations do.
