Dear God, please help me to be careful in how I hear your word. May I have a heart that is open and receptive to your teachings. I pray that you would give me more understanding and wisdom as I seek to follow you. Help me to use the knowledge and gifts you have given me for your glory and not for my own selfish gain. May I never take for granted the blessings you have bestowed upon me, and may I always be grateful for all that you have given me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Verse: Be careful therefore how you hear. For whoever has, to him will be given; and whoever doesn’t have, from him will be taken away even that which he thinks he has.”
Luke 8:18
