Dear Lord Jesus, we thank you for your authority on earth to forgive sins. We come to you today with our burdens and sins, asking for your forgiveness and healing. Just as you healed the paralyzed man and commanded him to arise, we ask that you would also command us to rise up from our sins and walk in your ways. Give us the strength to take up our cross and follow you, and lead us to our eternal home with you. We pray this in your holy name, Amen.
Verse: But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins,” he said to the paralyzed man,“I tell you, arise, take up your cot, and go to your house.”

This is a Command. The paralyzed man is commanded to arise, take up his cot, and go to his house as proof of the Son of Man’s authority to forgive sins.
