Prayer based on Luke 13:23. Themes: Salvation, Fewness, Judgment
Dear Lord,
As I come before you today, I am reminded of the verse where one asked you if only a few will be saved. Your response was one that gave hope and assurance to all who believe in you.
Lord, I claim the promise that you have given us, that whoever believes in you will not perish but have eternal life. I know that salvation is not based on the number of people who are saved, but on the faith and trust we have in you.
I pray that you will help me to always keep my eyes fixed on you, to trust in your promises, and to live a life that is pleasing to you. May I never lose sight of the hope that I have in you, and may I always be ready to share that hope with others.
Thank you for your love and grace, and for the promise of eternal life that you have given us. May I always live in the light of that promise, and may it be a source of strength and comfort to me always.
In Jesus’ name, I pray.
Amen.
