Prayer based on Luke 11:42. Themes: Justice, Love, Tithing.
Dear God, please help me to not only focus on the outward actions of my faith, but to also prioritize justice and love in my heart. May I not neglect the weightier matters of your law, but instead strive to do both – to tithe and to love. Amen.
Verse: But woe to you Pharisees! For you tithe mint and rue and every herb, but you bypass justice and God’s love. You ought to have done these, and not to have left the other undone.
Luke 11:42
This is a Command. The verse commands the Pharisees to prioritize justice and God’s love over tithing herbs.
