Prayer based on John 7:36. Themes: Rejection, Seeking, Separation.

Dear Lord, I come before you today claiming the promise that you have given us in your word. You have said that we will seek you and not find you, and where you are, we cannot come. But I know that this promise is not meant to discourage us, but to draw us closer to you.

I pray that you would help me to seek you with all my heart, and to never give up in my pursuit of you. I know that you are always with me, even when I cannot see or feel you. I trust in your promise that you will never leave me or forsake me.

Thank you for your love and faithfulness, and for the hope that you give us through your promises. I claim this promise today, and I know that you will guide me and lead me to where you want me to be. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse: What is this word that he said,‘ You will seek me, and won’t find me;’ and‘ Where I am, you can’t come’?”
John 7:36

This is a Promise. The verse is a statement made by Jesus to the Pharisees, indicating that they will not be able to find him or go where he is. There is no command given to the reader.
