Dear God, I desire to do your will. Please help me to understand your teachings and discern whether they are from you or from myself. Give me the wisdom and discernment to follow your ways and not my own. May my heart be open to your guidance and may I always seek to do your will above all else. Amen.

Verse: If anyone desires to do his will, he will know about the teaching, whether it is from God or if I am speaking from myself.
John 7:17

This is a Command. The verse commands the reader to desire to do God’s will in order to know whether the teaching is from God or not.
