Dear God, help me to remember that the food which perishes is temporary and fleeting. Instead, guide me to work for the food which remains to eternal life, the nourishment that only your Son can provide. May I seek after the sustenance that truly satisfies and brings everlasting joy. Thank you for sealing your Son and for the gift of eternal life that he offers. Amen.
Verse: Don’t work for the food which perishes, but for the food which remains to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For God the Father has sealed him.”

This is a Command. The verse commands the reader to not work for food that perishes but to work for the food that remains to eternal life, which will be given by the Son of Man. The verse also implies that God the Father has sealed the Son of Man.
