Dear Lord, I claim the promise that you have given us in John 6:20, where you said to your disciples, “It is I. Don’t be afraid.” I pray that in moments of fear and uncertainty, I will remember these words and find comfort in knowing that you are with me always. Help me to trust in your presence and to have faith that you will guide me through any situation. Thank you for your constant love and protection. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

This is a Promise. The promise is that the speaker, who is Jesus, is present and there is no need to be afraid.
