Prayer based on John 5:29. Themes: Resurrection, Good vs. Evil, Judgment.
Dear Lord,
I come before you with a humble heart, submitting to your will and your plan for my life. I know that one day, I will stand before you in judgment, and I pray that I will be counted among those who have done good.
I claim the promise of your word that those who have done good will be raised to the resurrection of life. I pray that I will live a life that is pleasing to you, that I will love and serve others as you have called me to do, and that I will always seek to do what is right in your eyes.
I also acknowledge that there are times when I have done wrong, and I ask for your forgiveness and your grace. I pray that you will help me to turn away from sin and to live a life that is pleasing to you.
Thank you for the promise of the resurrection of life, and for the hope that it brings. May I always live in a way that honors you, and may I be counted among those who will one day be raised to eternal life with you.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
