Dear Lord, I claim the promise that your sheep will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him; for they don’t know the voice of strangers. I pray that you will help me to recognize your voice and follow you faithfully. Protect me from the voice of the enemy and help me to discern the truth from the lies. Thank you for being my shepherd and guiding me on the right path. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

This is a Promise. The verse promises that the sheep will not follow a stranger and will flee from him because they do not recognize his voice.
