Dear Lord, I claim the promise in your word that whenever you bring out your own sheep, you go before them and they follow you because they know your voice. I pray that I may always recognize your voice and follow you wherever you lead me. Help me to trust in your guidance and to have faith that you will always lead me in the right direction. Thank you for being my shepherd and for always watching over me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse: Whenever he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice.
John 10:4

This is a Promise. The verse is describing how the sheep follow the shepherd because they know his voice. It is not giving a command to the reader.
