Praying from Hebrews 7:20 relating to Oath, Priesthood, Covenant
Dear Lord,
I come before you today, claiming the promise that you have made in your word. You have said that inasmuch as he was not made priest without the taking of an oath, we can trust in the certainty of your promises.
I thank you for the assurance that comes from knowing that you are a God who keeps his word. I pray that you would help me to trust in your promises, even when circumstances seem uncertain.
May I always remember that you have made a covenant with us, and that you will never break your promises. Help me to live my life in a way that honors you, and to always seek your will above my own.
Thank you for the gift of your Son, who has made a way for us to come before you with confidence. May we always remember the sacrifice that he made on our behalf, and may we live our lives in a way that brings glory to your name.
In Jesus’ name, I pray.
Amen.
