Dear God,
Thank you for making us the children of the prophets and for the covenant you made with our fathers. We claim the promise you made to Abraham that all the families of the earth will be blessed through his offspring. We believe that we are part of that offspring and we ask that you bless us and use us to be a blessing to others. Help us to live in a way that reflects your love and grace, so that others may see your goodness through us. We trust in your faithfulness and we thank you for your abundant blessings.
In Jesus’ name we pray,
Amen.

This is a Promise. The verse is reminding the reader that they are part of the covenant God made with Abraham, which promised that all families of the earth would be blessed through his offspring.
