Dear Lord, I claim the promise that you will send Christ Jesus, who was ordained for me before. I pray that you will guide me and lead me towards your will, so that I may be ready to receive him when he comes. Help me to prepare my heart and mind for his arrival, and to live a life that is pleasing to you. Thank you for your love and faithfulness, and for the promise of salvation through your son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
