Dear Lord God, we thank you for the promise you made to our fathers through Moses, that you would raise up a prophet from among our brothers, like him. We pray that we may always listen to this prophet in all things, whatever he says to us. Help us to have open hearts and minds to receive your word and to follow your will. May we never stray from your path, but always seek to do what is pleasing in your sight. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Verse: For Moses indeed said to the fathers, ‘ The Lord God will raise up a prophet for you from among your brothers, like me. You shall listen to him in all things whatever he says to you.
Acts 3:22
This is a Command. The reader is commanded to listen to the prophet that God will raise up from among their brothers, just as they would listen to Moses.
