Dear Lord, I thank you for the promise of resurrection that you have given us through your son, Jesus Christ. As it is written in Acts 2:31, you foresaw this and spoke about the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in Hades and his flesh did not see decay. I claim this promise for myself and for all those who believe in you. May we have the assurance that death has no power over us and that we will rise again with Christ. Thank you for your love and grace. Amen.

This is a Promise. The verse is referring to the prophecy of the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the promise that his soul would not be left in Hades and his body would not decay.
