Praying from 2 Peter 1:9 relating to Forgiveness, Redemption, Spiritual Growth.

Dear Lord, please help me to never lack the virtues of faith, goodness, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness, and love. May I always see beyond what is near and remember the cleansing power of your forgiveness for my past sins. Guide me to live a life that is pleasing to you and to always strive for spiritual growth. Amen.

Verse: For he who lacks these things is blind, seeing only what is near, having forgotten the cleansing from his old sins.
2 Peter 1:9

This is a Command. The verse is commanding the reader to possess certain qualities in order to avoid being blind and forgetful of their past sins.
