Praying from 2 Corinthians 6:10. Themes: Suffering, Generosity, Contentment
Dear Lord, I come before you with a heart that is both sorrowful and rejoicing. I submit to your will and trust that you have a purpose for my pain. Help me to find joy in the midst of my struggles and to see the blessings that you have given me.
Though I may be poor in material possessions, I claim the promise that I can make many rich through your love and grace. Help me to be a blessing to others and to use what I have to serve you and your people.
Even though I may feel like I have nothing, I know that in you, I possess all things. You are my provider, my comforter, and my strength. Help me to trust in you and to find contentment in your presence.
Thank you for your faithfulness and for the promises that you have given me. May I continue to submit to your will and claim the blessings that you have in store for me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Verse: as sorrowful yet always rejoicing, as poor yet making many rich, as having nothing and yet possessing all things.
2 Corinthians 6:10
This is a Both. The promise is that even in times of sorrow and poverty, the reader can still experience joy and richness, and possess all things. The command is to maintain a mindset of rejoicing and generosity, even in difficult circumstances.
