Praying from 2 Corinthians 4:7. Themes: Power, Treasure, Weakness

Dear God, thank you for the treasure that you have placed within me, even though I am just a clay vessel. I pray that the exceeding greatness of your power may be evident in my life, so that others may see that it is not from my own strength, but from you. Help me to always rely on your power and not my own, and to give you all the glory for any good that comes from my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse: But we have this treasure in clay vessels, that the exceeding greatness of the power may be of God and not from ourselves.
2 Corinthians 4:7

This is a Promise. The verse is stating that believers have a treasure (presumably the Holy Spirit or the gospel message) within them, but it is contained in fragile, imperfect vessels (our human bodies). The purpose of this is so that any power or greatness that comes from it is clearly attributed to God and not to ourselves.
