Dear Lord, I pray that you give me the strength and wisdom to determine my own path in life. Help me to avoid situations that bring me sorrow and pain. Guide me towards the people and experiences that bring joy and fulfillment. May I always trust in your plan for my life and have the courage to make the necessary decisions to live a life of purpose and happiness. Amen.

2 Corinthians 2:1

This is a Command. The verse is a statement of Paul’s determination not to visit the Corinthians in sorrow again. There is no direct command or promise to the reader.
