Dear God, I claim the promise that you will always spare me from harm and danger. Just as Paul called upon you as a witness to his soul, I too call upon you to witness my heart and my intentions. I pray that you will guide me and protect me from any harm that may come my way. Help me to trust in your plan for my life and to have faith that you will always be with me. Thank you for your promise of protection and for your unwavering love. Amen.

2 Corinthians 1:23

This is a Promise. The verse is a statement by Paul that he did not come to Corinth in order to spare them. There is no command given to the reader.
