Dear Lord, as I face the challenges of this life, I pray that you give me the strength to endure. Help me to persevere through labor and travail, to stay vigilant in my watchings, and to find sustenance even in times of hunger and thirst. May I be willing to fast often and to embrace the discomfort of cold and nakedness, knowing that these trials will only make me stronger in my faith. Thank you for your constant presence and guidance, and for the promise of eternal life with you. Amen.
