Dear Lord, please help me to not be a new convert who is easily puffed up with pride. Keep me humble and grounded in your truth, so that I may not fall into the same condemnation as the devil. Help me to always seek your guidance and wisdom, and to remain steadfast in my faith. Amen.

This is a Command. The verse is commanding the reader to not be a new convert, as doing so may lead to becoming prideful and falling into the same condemnation as the devil.
