Praying from 1 Timothy 3:2 relating to Leadership, Marriage, Character
Dear Lord, we pray that those who oversee your people may be without reproach. May they be faithful to their spouse and live a life of temperance, sensibility, and modesty. Grant them the gift of hospitality and the ability to teach your word with clarity and wisdom. May they be an example to others and lead with integrity. We ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Verse: The overseer therefore must be without reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, sensible, modest, hospitable, good at teaching;
1 Timothy 3:2
This is a Command. The verse is instructing overseers to possess certain qualities such as being without reproach, having only one wife, being temperate, sensible, modest, hospitable, and good at teaching.
