Dear God, as we reflect on the fact that we have been made in the image of those made of dust, we are reminded of our mortality and our earthly limitations. But we also know that we have the potential to bear the image of the heavenly, to reflect your glory and your love to the world around us. Help us to embrace this calling, to seek after your will and your ways, and to live our lives in a way that honors you and brings you glory. May we be transformed by your grace and your power, and may we shine as lights in the darkness, pointing others to the hope and the joy that can be found in you. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
Verse: As we have borne the image of those made of dust, let’s also bear the image of the heavenly.

This is a Command. The verse is commanding the reader to bear the image of the heavenly, just as they have borne the image of those made of dust.
