Dear Lord, I thank you for the promise that even as the Father knows you, and you know the Father, you have laid down your life for the sheep. I claim this promise today and ask that you help me to know you more intimately and to follow you more closely. Help me to lay down my life for others as you have done for me. May I be a faithful and obedient sheep, always listening for your voice and following your lead. Thank you for your love and sacrifice, and for the assurance that you will never leave me nor forsake me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
