Dear God, help us to remember that there will always be those in need among us. Give us the desire and ability to do good for them whenever we can. But most importantly, help us to cherish and appreciate the time we have with you, knowing that it is limited. May we always seek to follow your example of love and compassion towards those who are less fortunate. Amen.

Verse: For you always have the poor with you, and whenever you want to, you can do them good; but you will not always have me.
