Dear God, please help me to be mindful of the things I try to patch up in my life. May I not try to fix old problems with temporary solutions that will only make things worse. Give me the wisdom to seek lasting solutions that will strengthen and heal the broken areas of my life. Help me to trust in your guidance and to have the patience to wait for your perfect timing. Amen.

Verse: No one sews a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, or else the patch shrinks and the new tears away from the old, and a worse hole is made.
