Dear Lord, we pray for the safety and protection of Jerusalem. We ask that you watch over the city and its people, and keep them safe from harm. We pray that if the city is ever surrounded by armies, that you will guide and protect those who are in danger. We trust in your love and mercy, and we know that you will always be with us, even in the darkest of times. Amen.

Verse: “But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is at hand.
Luke 21:20

This is a Command. The reader is instructed to recognize the impending desolation of Jerusalem when they see it surrounded by armies.
