Prayer based on Luke 5:5. Themes: Faith, Obedience, Trust.
Dear Lord, like Simon, I have worked hard and put in effort, but sometimes I still come up empty-handed. Help me to trust in your word and guidance, even when it goes against my own understanding. Give me the faith to let down my nets and cast my worries and doubts aside, knowing that you are in control and will provide for me. Amen.
Verse: Simon answered him, “Master, we worked all night and caught nothing; but at your word I will let down the net.”
Luke 5:5
This is a Command. The verse commands the reader to obey Jesus’ words. Simon says that he will let down the net at Jesus’ command, even though they had already worked all night and caught nothing.
