Dear Lord, help us to remember the words of Jesus when he said, “Put your sword back into its place, for all those who take the sword will die by the sword.” May we never resort to violence or aggression, but instead seek peace and understanding in all situations. Help us to be instruments of your love and grace, and to always choose the path of nonviolence and compassion. Amen.
