Dear Lord Jesus, we come before you today humbly and with open hearts. We acknowledge that the rulers of this world often lord their power over others, and that their great ones exercise authority without compassion or mercy. We pray that you would help us to resist the temptation to do the same, and to instead follow your example of love, humility, and service. Help us to be leaders who serve, and to use our power and influence for the good of others. We ask this in your holy name, Amen.
Verse: But Jesus summoned them, and said,“You know that the rulers of the nations lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them.

This is a Command. The command is for the reader to not follow the example of the rulers of the nations who exercise authority over others.
