Praying from Matthew 5:29 relating to Repentance, Sacrifice, Hell.
Dear Lord,
Help me to recognize the things in my life that cause me to stumble and lead me away from you. If my right eye or any part of me causes me to sin, give me the strength to remove it from my life. I pray that I may prioritize my spiritual well-being over any temporary pleasure or satisfaction. May I always choose to follow your will and not my own desires. Thank you for your love and guidance.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Verse: If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna.
Matthew 5:29
This is a Command. The verse commands the reader to remove anything that causes them to sin, even if it means sacrificing something valuable.
