Praying from James 4:2 relating to Lust, Covetousness, Prayer

Dear God, please help me to resist the temptation of lust and coveting. Help me to find contentment in what I have and not desire what belongs to others. Please forgive me for any past actions of murder or violence, and guide me towards peaceful solutions in any conflicts I may face. I ask for your guidance and provision in all areas of my life, and I trust in your perfect timing and plan. Amen.

Verse: You lust, and don’t have. You murder and covet, and can’t obtain. You fight and make war. You don’t have, because you don’t ask.
James 4:2

This is a Command. The verse is commanding the reader to ask for what they want instead of resorting to sinful behavior to obtain it.
