Praying from 2 Corinthians 9:5. Themes: Generosity, Greediness, Preparation.
Dear Lord, I pray that you would guide and bless the brothers who will go before us to arrange the generous gift that has been promised. May they be filled with wisdom and discernment as they prepare everything ahead of time. May this gift be given with a heart of generosity and not of greediness. Help us to be grateful recipients of this gift and to use it for your glory. Thank you for your provision and for the love and care of our brothers and sisters in Christ. Amen.
Verse: I thought it necessary therefore to entreat the brothers that they would go before to you and arrange ahead of time the generous gift that you promised before, that the same might be ready as a matter of generosity, and not of greediness.
2 Corinthians 9:5
This is a Command. The verse commands the brothers to go ahead and arrange the promised gift so that it may be given generously and not out of greediness.
